OLEH—INDIGENES of Emu-Ebendo community have commended the Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Chris Osakwe, for suspending youth activities which they said led to the leadership tussle that had torn the community apart.
Rival camps in the community had been at loggerheads over who should control proceeds from a multinational oil company operating in the area.
Lauding the council Chairman on behalf of the community, Mr. J. Enegide emphasized that the prevailing peace in Ebendo came as a result of the indefinite suspension of youth group activities.
